Meet Sherry Banks

Today we have a conversation with St. Albert Gazette/St. Albert TODAY team member Sherry Marie Banks, media and sales specialist. Read on to find who’s on her playlist.
Sherry has been in the print advertising business for 32 years and has witnessed it’s many evolutions. She was drawn to advertising because it met her need to be creative while engaged in corporate sales. She cites, “The relationships I have built along the way and getting to know the businesses in my community,” as the best part of her job.
What is one cool fact that most people don’t know about you?
I love to paint – residential, not canvas painting. I find it very relaxing.
When you are not relaxing with a paintbrush, what are you running scared from?
I have a fear of heights.
What are your top three movies?
Erin Brockovich, Star is Born, and True Lies

Here’s a question that is vitally important during the holiday season. Sweet or savory?
I am definitely a savory girl. Cheese or anything with too much cheese is my guilty pleasure.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Have the courage to walk through all your fears. Love yourself and always remember your self worth.
Excellent advice at any age. Now, based on your experience in the field, what is your best advice for any company looking to take their business to the next level with digital advertising?
Find someone that is knowledgeable in digital advertising options but most importantly someone that you like and trust. Affiliate yourself with someone that has deep roots in the community.
